My name is James Ettari and I am the Law Enforcement instructor.  I grew up on Long Island, New York, and graduated from Brentwood Sonderling High School in 1979.  I found my way to South Carolina by way of The Citadel where I am a member of the Class of '83. 

 

I began my career in Law Enforcement in 1984 and retired in 2005 from the Greenville Police Department.  During that time I worked in Uniform Patrol and the Detective Divisions: Narcotics, Burglary, Violent Crimes and White Collar. 

 

While I was a second shift detective from 2000-2005 I also taught part-time as the Criminal Justice instructor at the Enoree Career Center in Greenville.  After retiring in 2005 I accepted the position here at ACTC and have been here ever since.
