Welding Technology 2
Students in Welding Technology 2 concentrate on the weld-ability of metals, the physical properties of metals, and the inspection of welded joints. Laboratory experience is provided which brings the student in contact with the latest developments in welding techniques.
The student will develop skills in (SMAW) shielded metal arc welding, gas shielded arc processes (TIG and MIG), oxyacetylene welding, and cutting. Equipment includes state-of-the-art welding machines, a 90-ton iron worker, CNC plasma cutting table, and a vertical milling machine and lathe.
This course meets every morning 2nd semester.
