Welcome to Programming & Game Design
This will be my seventh year teaching at the Anderson 1 & 2 Career & Technology Center (ACTC), where I strive to bring both passion and real-world experience to the classroom. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems with an emphasis in Software Development, along with minors in Cybersecurity and Professional Writing.
Before transitioning into education, I built a diverse portfolio of industry experience, ranging from IT security and web development to computer support services. This practical background allows me to connect classroom concepts to real-world applications, giving students valuable insight into how the skills they’re learning are used across various industries.
As the instructor for the Programming & Game Design pathway, I teach a sequence of engaging, hands-on courses that cover Python, Java, and C# programming languages, culminating in an exciting capstone Game Design course using the Unity engine.
I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to guide each student on their learning journey and am passionate about helping students discover the real-world impact of programming and technology, no matter what career path they choose to follow.
