Mechatronics Students Pass Michelin Technical Scholars Program Test

Juniors and seniors enrolled in the Mechatronics program went to Tri-County Technical College to take the Michelin Technical Scholars Program Test on September 8th.  This assessment is administered to college students enrolled in the Industrial Electronics, Mechatronics or General Engineering Technology programs.

The test is the first step to be eligible to participate in the Scholars program along with being 18 years of age.  Once enrolled in this program, Michelin will cover the cost of tuition, fees and books for college, along with competitive pay for part-time work in a Michelin manufacturing facility.

Tri-County administered 127 tests, only 22 of those passed.  6 of the 22 that passed were high school students.  ACTC had 25 students that took the test and 4 passed.  We are extremely proud of this accomplishment.
Congratulations to the following students for this great accomplishment!

Bryce Cotton, Junior from Powdersville High School
Hank Henry Johnson, Senior from Wren High School
Tyler James Morris, Junior from Wren High School
Nicholas Stowers, Senior from Powdersville High School
