Marketing
Marketing is an engaging introduction to the world of marketing for high school students. Unlike traditional courses that rely on textbooks and lectures, the course focuses on hands-on projects that provide practical experience in marketing.
Through a semester-long project, you'll work with your classmates to develop a comprehensive marketing plan for a new business in the Anderson area. You'll explore different marketing concepts as you produce a portfolio of marketing materials, including a business proposal, a mission statement and goals, market research tools and results, a logo, a marketing strategy statement, a press release, a print marketing piece, a radio commercial, a website, a social media plan, a marketing plan, and a digital presentation.
By the end of the course, you'll have a strong foundation in marketing and the skills needed to create a successful marketing plan. Our course is designed to prepare you for college and careers in marketing or related fields.
This junior-level class meets every morning during the third quarter. One unit of college prep elective credit is awarded after successful completion of the course.
