Law Enforcement I
Law Enforcement I is offered to junior level students. Students will take what they have learned in the introduction class and add new techniques and expand to new areas of concern to law enforcement. The student will continue to be tested on written and practical skill content:
Juniors will be introduced to arrest warrants, court procedure, court testimony, criminal statutes, advanced defensive tactics, DUI and sobriety tests, gangs, spontaneous knife defense, searching a suspect, unknown risk vehicle stops, weapon retention and report writing.
The student will be shown tactics that are used by street officers in their daily encounters. This requires a person who is willing to work with others to practice and perfect these skills. The student will then apply these techniques to real life scenarios in which intelligence and determination win.
