Hello! My name is Tanya Dickerson, and I’m proud to serve as the instructor for Introduction to Health Science and Biomedical at ACTC. This is my fifth year teaching, and I bring over 20 years of experience as a registered nurse to the classroom. I’m passionate about helping students explore the many exciting and rewarding career opportunities in healthcare. One of my favorite parts of teaching is blending real-world experiences with dynamic curriculum to inspire and prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals.

A little about me personally: I’ve been married to my husband, Jason, since 1999. He also works in education, and together we’ve raised four wonderful children—Blake, Ethan, Andrew, and Catie. Our family wouldn’t be complete without our two beloved dogs, who add even more energy to our busy home! Both Jason and I are proud alumni of BHP and feel deeply connected to this community. It’s a joy and an honor to give back to a place that has meant so much to us over the years.
