Hello! Hello! My name is Amy Beeker and I am elated to be returning to ACTC to teach Digital Art Design! I began my teaching career in 2000 as the Graphic Communications Instructor here and taught for seventeen years. In 2017, I stepped away from the classroom to work at Anderson University. While I enjoyed my time at AU, I missed teaching and the wonderful people I worked with. Without going into all the details, let’s just say the stars aligned beautifully in late May 2024 and I was welcomed home to ACTC. (Should you care to hear the details, come and see me. I’d be happy to share!) 

 

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Graphic Communications at Clemson University. Prior to teaching, I worked in the printing industry for five years and have been a freelance graphic designer for the better part of 25 years. The world of graphics/print/design still fascinates me and I will strive to bring that excitement into the classroom. 

 

I married my sweet husband Jock in 2021. We are a blended family and between us, we have five children. I was blessed with my first grandson in December, 2024. We love to spend time with friends and family, cook together, travel, play cards/board games and watch the Tigers play (and other college teams, too). I love decorating, designing, creating and small event/party planning. I have a heart for serving others, love all things polka dot and try my best to make others smile. I have a knack for thinking outside the box, appreciate a good challenge and have a strong desire to help others be successful.
