Welcome to Biomedical Science

I am Heather Minton and will be teaching PLTW Biomed and Health Science here at ACTC. I have been a Registered Nurse for over 10 years and I am very excited about starting my 3rd year of teaching!  

My nursing background includes critical care nursing, admissions nurse coordinator for a long-term acute care hospital and procedural nursing in the GI Lab. Each of my nursing roles has given me the opportunity to educate a vast population on a daily basis.  

I graduated from Belton-Honea Path High School in 2005 and I too attended ACTC during my high school years. I received my Associate of Science in Nursing from Tri-County Technical College in 2012 and my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lander University in 2015.  

My husband, Chris and I have been married for 20 years. We were blessed with two girls, Melanie and Paisley. We also have our family dog, Sable.  

I am looking forward to getting to know each of my students and sharing both my nursing knowledge and experiences to educate and inspire those who may be interested in the healthcare field!
