Welcome to Biomedical Science

As an instructor at ACTC, I teach PLTW Biomedical Science and Health Science, bringing real-world experience from over a decade in the healthcare field. Before transitioning to education, I worked as a Surgical Technologist and later as a Registered Nurse, with my clinical background focused entirely in Labor and Delivery - a field I continue to be passionate about. 

As a proud graduate of Belton-Honea Path High School and a former ACTC student, my journey came full circle when I returned to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals. I earned my degrees in Surgical Technology and Nursing from Piedmont Technical College and later completed my Bachelor's in Nursing through Western Governors University.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy life with my husband, John, our two children, Ansley and Colton, and our two dogs, Sadie and Murphy.    

I'm looking forward to sharing my experience and love for healthcare with you and helping you explore the many opportunities in this rewarding field!
