• ACTC Drone Division Program 
    The ACTC Drone Division program is open to students from Belton-Honea Path, Palmetto, Powdersville, and Wren High Schools that attend the Career & Technology Center. The team mentor is ACTC's Aerospace Engineering Instructor, James Davis.
     
    In 2021 Drone teams competed in 2 types of drone based competitions.
    "For the Win Robotics" and Skills USA's "Commercial sUAS(Drone)" Competition
     
    "For the Win Robotics" is placed on a 30'x40' field with a 10' ceiling. Game challenge changes each year and is mostly based on flying skills and team work. More information about "For the Win" drone compeitions may be found at https://www.ftw.robotics.com
     
    Skills USA's "Commericial sUAS(Drone)" Competition: Purpose to evaluate team members' skills and prepartion for employment in multiple career fields related to the safe and efficient use of drone technology in the National Airspace System and to recognize outstanding performance by participants in real-world, scenario-based situations.
