Internship
Hands-On Learning
Internships are work-based learning opportunities that combine classroom instruction and on-the-job work experience. Interning students spend several days or weeks in a job related to their occupational coursework.
The student is often paired with a supervisor to learn the requirements of a particular career. The internship provides career and job experience to help students focus on career goals.
Internships may be paid or unpaid depending upon the work performed and the length of the internship. ACTC's internship program has been extremely successful. Hundreds of employers work with students to provide excellent opportunities. In 2017-2018 over 300 students at the Career Center participated in an internship.
