Professional and Leadership DevelopmentLeadership doesn't come naturally to most of us. Fortunately, we can learn leadership skills (or improve them if you're a natural). In this course, you'll build the leadership skills you need to excel in college and careers. You'll explore leadership styles and personality types. You'll develop leadership skills in leading teams and groups, communicating, emotional intelligence, goal setting, time management, motivating others, conflict resolution, workplace ethics, job seeking, and employability skills.Throughout the class, you'll have an opportunity to develop and practice your leadership skills as you work with others in your class on a service learning project that makes an impact on a need in your community.
This senior-level class meets on “B” day afternoons. Professional and Leadership Development is a one semester class taken during the second semester (Spring). One unit of college prep elective credit is awarded after successful completion of these courses.
