    These announcements are for the 2016-2017 academic year. They will be updated as scholarship information is received by the Guidance Department.


    CG-Trader Scholarship
    Backed by Intel Capital, CGTrader is one of the world's leading 3D model platforms.
    Each semester this company challenges students to dig into the field of technology by writing different essays on how innovative technologies are transforming our lives. For the following Spring semester the topic is: "The future of technology in education."
    The best submission will be awarded $2.000 while the two runners-up will receive $500 each. All information and eligibility requirements can be found here: https://www.cgtrader.com/scholarships.

    Teaching Fellows Scholarship

    CERRA is offering up to 175 scholarships for education majors who will attend one of eleven participating colleges in South Carolina (Anderson U., Charleston Southern U., the College of Charleston, Columbia College, Furman U., Lander U., Newberry C., SC State U., USC-Columbia, USC-Upstate, and Winthrop U.). The amount of the award is up to $6,000 per year for four years. This is all dependent on funding from the SC General Assembly. Applicants must follow the strict application process closely.


    The online application process will open on September 1, 2014 and extend to December 1, 2014. The application is available online at www.cerra.org. 


    AES Essay Contest

    This is an essay contest. You do not have to be an engineering major to participate. Students must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words in answer to the following question: "Reflecting on your personal experiences and/or circumstances, tell us something about yourself that distinguishes you as a potential scholarship candidate.  For more details about this scholarship contest, visit http://aesengineers.com/scholarships.htm.


    Application Deadline: October 7, 2015. Amount of award is $500.


    First Freedom Student Competition

    This scholarship contest is for students in grades 9-12.  The topic will relate to the history and implementation of freedom of religion and conscience in American democracy and the world today.

    Applications are available online at www.firstfreedom.org.

    Application Deadline: Students must register online on or before Monday, November 18, 2015 and the postmark deadline for mailing the essay or video with its accompanying materials is November 24, 2015. Amount:  $2,500.


    The GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship

    This scholarship program awards scholarships to college-bound students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship. The application will be available online by October 12, 2015 at www.reaganfoundation.org/scholarships.

    Amount: $10,000 per year, up to $40,000 total.


    The Ronald McDonald House Charities Scholarship

    This scholarship program awards scholarships to students who are exemplary role models in their communities and have the initiative to fulfill their educational goals. Online applications are available at www.rmhc.org/rmhc-us-scholarships.  The application will be available online in the fall of 2015.


    Application Deadline: TBD (To be determined). Amount: A minimum of $1,000.

    Kittie Moss Fairey Educational Fund Scholarship
    The scholarship is for students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (4.0 scale), have a combined SAT score of 1800 (reading, writing, math) or composite ACT score of 27, will attend a four-year college in SC next fall, and whose parents’ adjusted gross income does not exceed $40,000. Applications must be submitted online at www.casascholars.org.

    James F. Byrnes Scholarship

    This is a very lucrative scholarship for a student who has one or more deceased parents, plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree at a four-year college, has a satisfactory academic record, and has financial need. Applications are available in the Guidance office or may be obtained at www.byrnesscholars.org. Application

    Deadline: (To be determined).  Amount: $3,200 per year for four years.

    Tri-County Technical College Scholarships (this is not LIFE)

    The TCTC Foundation is offering numerous scholarships based on demonstrated academic success, donor stipulated criteria, and financial need.  Announcements will be made when this application is available.     AAEOP Business Scholarship

    Applicants must be planning to pursue an office-related business program after high school, have completed at least four semesters of business education courses in high school (keyboard, computer tech, accounting, CTC, etc.), have a “C” or better cumulative average, and have a “B” average in high school business courses.   Announcements will be made when this application is available

    Buick Achievers Scholarship

    For seniors who plan to attend a four-year college, plan to major in a field that focuses on engineering, technology, design or business, with an interest in the automotive industry. Information and application materials are available at www.buickachievers.com


    Application Deadline: To be determined.  Amount: 100 scholarships each up to $25,000 per year. 1,000 scholarships each at $2,000.

    Student-View Scholarship

    This scholarship will be awarded through a random drawing. Students need to complete a survey about colleges in the area. Log on to www.student-view.com and complete the survey.
