Computer Forensics is the introductory course in the Computer Services program. Students will learn basic techniques for searching, preserving, and analyzing information on computer systems. Students will learn how Windows is setup and learn where to look for trails of evidence. Students will also learn about computer hardware and how to take apart a computer in order to remove the parts they need to investigate. This is NOT a law enforcement class.
The perspective of this class is to learn the technical knowledge needed in order to investigate or prevent cybercrimes.
This sophomore-level class meets on ‘B’ day mornings. It is one semester class taken during either first or second semester.
