My name is Becky Stoddard. I am beginning my ninth year teaching in the Health Science program and my fifth year in PLTW-Biomedical Science.
I obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Clemson University. My 29 year career in nursing has given me many invaluable experiences and opportunities. After graduating I worked in a cardiovascular intensive care unit. I then worked in a doctor's office and a cardiac, pulmonary, and oncology rehabilitation program. Patient education was a critical component in each area of nursing.
I wrote several patient education booklets and presentations and became an instructor in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. I also enjoyed being a preceptor for new nurses. I truly enjoyed helping patients and staff in their growth and learning experiences.
All of these opportunities lead me to teaching our future healthcare providers. I enjoy assisting students in their growth academically, personally and professionally as a future healthcare leader.
