Emergency Medical Response
Emergency Medical Response is a class tailored to professional rescuers. The 51-hour course provides comprehensive training that gives participants the knowledge and skills necessary to work as an emergency medical responder to help sustain life, reduce pain and minimize the consequences of injury of sudden illness until more advanced medical personnel take over.
Core skills include CPR, AED, airway and ventilation, medical and trauma emergencies, and EMS operations. After completion of the course, students are allowed to test for EMR certification through the American Red Cross.
