 donate

Donate Life representative Theresa Colbert and Miracles In Sight professional Tracy Thorne came and spoke to the Health Science students on February 7, 2017. They shared the experience of “Paul’s Gift” and the heroic choices his family made to donate his organs. They learned about some of the recipients of his organs and how it impacted their lives. These specialists were able to share more information about health care jobs that are directly related to organ procurement and support staff to meet the family needs. Students learned what it meant to have the heart symbol placed on their license and the need for organ donation not only in South Carolina but nationwide as well. You can get more information at www.donatelife.org.
