Anderson Districts I & II Career and Technology Center experienced a very successful 2007-08 school year.  Approximately 1576 tenth, eleventh, and twelfth-grade students from Wren, Palmetto, and Belton-Honea Path High Schools were enrolled in career and technical training in 18 different programs.

Some of our accomplishments for 2007-08 include:
• Students participated in 1001 school-to-work experiences.
• Students had 87 internships and 31 co-op’s.
• 293 students were classified as Completers.
• 53 students won in District and State competitive events. 10 students attended Nationals. 
• 66 students were inducted in the Career and Technical Honor Society and 68 students received the honor society certificate.
• Seniors in Drafting/CAD Technology, Electricity/Electronics Technology, and Finance Academy received Dual Credit through Tri-County Tech College.  Automotive Technology and Culinary Arts Seniors received Dual Credit through Greenville Tech.  98 students from the Project Lead the Way courses received Dual Credit through the University of South Carolina, Piedmont Tech College, and Rochester Institute of Technology.
• State licenses were awarded to 38 Certified Nursing Assistants, 16 Cosmetology students, 3 Finance Academy students, 1 A+ Cert/Comp TIA Certification, 9 Certified Law Enforcement Dispatching students, 10 Nail Technology students, 3 Esthetic students, 18 General Pest Applicators Licenses, 136 CPR Certifications, and 2 Culinary Arts Serve-Safe students.
• 90 business and industry representatives served on 18 program advisory committees.
• Seniors received a total of $60,000 in scholarship monies excluding the LIFE scholarship.

With a student-centered focus, the administration, faculty, and staff strive for continuous improvement by providing an academically and technically challenging education for all students.  Instructors align the curriculum with current workplace trends and apply academics in work-based situations.  Community involvement from parents, businesses, industries, and local organization remains strong.
